Tired All The Time? (TATT)
Why does it occur?
The most common reasons for feeling tired are daily habits that you may have without realizing the effect on your body. These habits can include:
- What you eat & drink?
- How do you sleep?
- How much exercise you get?
- What is in your environment?
It is more rare for young people to experience TATT as young people haven’t been bombarded by stimulants and chemicals for several decades.
How do I help you?
I help by using Kinesiology to work in balancing areas of your body giving special attention to your pancreas and adrenals and also help you plan a balanced diet which will help calm your blood sugar fluctuations. As it restores your blood sugar to a better balance, this way of eating is meant as a long-term plan to keep your body in balance. If TATT has been affecting you for quite a while I would expect to see you for several sessions to help your body develop new habits so 4-6 sessions would be advisable over a 3 month period approximately.
A supplement or blend of Homeobotanicals may be needed for four to eight weeks to help set your sleep pattern back on track, I would also possibly blend the remedies for your adrenals and your pancreas in this but this does depend on what else is going on in your life.
What You Eat & Drink
Having an occasional coffee or other caffeinated drink is okay for most people. Stimulating drinks like these or sugar and sugary foods have a physical effect in which they release stress hormones such as adrenaline & cortisol and these can have a big effect on your blood sugars. Over time, the lift they give you becomes shorter in duration and the crash you have after the lift becomes more pronounced until you can feel tired all the time.
How is your sleep?
Quite frequently even though you are exhausted your body just won’t go to or stay asleep. Not getting to sleep can cause it’s own stress and obviously fatigue as your body is not getting it’s rest. What you can do yourself at home is to avoid caffeine and alcohol in the evenings, avoid being stimulated in the evening so avoid crime thrillers on TV or computer games. Have a restful hour before bed to start the wind-down process before you ever go to your bed.
How often do you exercise?
Although this sounds like a contradiction and you may feel you don’t have the energy to exercise it can be of great benefit. People who suffer with TATT very often have desk jobs or other sedentary occupations. Exercise does have the ability to increase our energy levels so it could be worth making the effort and giving it a go. Avoid strenuous exercise a few hours before you go to bed, but a walk early – mid evening could be a really good habit to start. Make it a short walk to begin with, just 15-20 minutes and then build up to 35-45 minutes or more several times weekly.
Do that, and a month from now, you should notice some improvement. Keep with it for three to six months more, and you should feel much better.
- Have regular TATT sessions with me for the next 1-3 months
- Build up exercise routine
- Follow nutritional/herbal/food recommendations
- Give your body some sleep time
Expect your energy to increase.
